 The Winners for 2011!
The Worshipful Company of Musicians and Jazzorg have pleasure in announcing the winners of the Dankworth Prize for Jazz Composition Prize, 2011, as follows:
-
In the Big Band Category, the prize was awarded to Laura Jurd (Trinity College of Music) for her composition ’La Danza De La Selva'
- In the Small Band Category, the prize was awarded to Alex Roth (Royal Academy of Music) for his composition 'November’s Song'
Both compositions will be played and recorded at Ronnie Scott's Club by the Trinity College Jazz Ensemble at a public concert on Tuesday, 15th February 2011. The compositions will also be available to download as full manuscripts and audio tracks as soon as the recordings have been made.
